Become a Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer and contribute to the Friends of Rocky Bluff Library.  You can volunteer for the Board or be on a committee.  The current committees include:

• Membership
• Grant Writing
• Special Events
• Annual Membership Appeals
• Marketing
• Author Luncheon
• Drawing/Raffles
• Preparing books for sale
• Assisting with book sales
• Assisting the book store team
• Editing the semi-annual newsletter

Be a Library Volunteer 

To  be a Rocky Bluff Library volunteer, contact the library at 941-723-4821 or on your next visit, stop by the Customer Service desk and talk to a librarian. They will be happy to help you. Some of the activities Library Volunteers assist with are:

• Call patrons to notify them that an ordered book is ready for pick up.
• Shelve books, CDs, DVDs and videos returned by patrons
• Repair books needing page or binding restoration
• Other duties as requested by the library staff.
