This Year's Festival was a great success!

In celebration of National Library Week, the Friends of Rocky Bluff Library sponsored the second annual Storytelling Festival.  The theme of this year’s festival was “THOSE GOLDEN STORIES” honoring the 75th anniversary of the famous children’s golden books.

The festival was opened by Honorary Chair, County Commissioner, Priscilla Trace and was followed up by amazing storytelling performances led by our Master of Ceremonies, Karen Romant.  We also welcomed back a local ukulele songstress Iris Taverney and Sparky the Clown was on hand to entertain and provide balloon animals for all the kids.

We had an fantastic turnout of over 500 attendees who enjoyed the performances as well as face painting and a variety of activities including a costume parade.   There were over 50 library staff and volunteers who made the event a success and we thank them for their hard work and commitment!

in addition to Commissioner Trace, attendees included the Manatee County Administrator, the Director of Neighborhood Services, the Manager of Library Services, and the Manatee Library Foundation President. We were so pleased they were able to support our event!.
